Account & Login

How do I create an account?

Download Splash from the App Store and sign up using your email address, Apple ID, or Google account. You'll be guided through a quick onboarding to personalize your experience.

How do I reset my password?

On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password" and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.

How do I sign in with Apple or Google?

On the login screen, tap "Continue with Apple" or "Continue with Google". If you previously created an account with email, you may need to link your accounts.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Profile → Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Account. This will permanently delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.

Credits & Subscriptions

What are Spark Credits?

Spark Credits power the AI features in Splash. Each AI recipe collaboration, image analysis, or recipe scan uses credits. Free users receive 50 credits monthly. Pro and Expert subscribers receive expanded credit allowances.

How do I upgrade to Pro?

Go to Profile → Settings → Subscription to view available plans and upgrade. Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Go to iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Splash to manage or cancel.

Do unused credits roll over?

Monthly credit allowances refresh each billing cycle. Unused credits do not roll over to the next month.

Recipes & AI Features

How do I create a recipe with AI?

Tap the "Create" tab, then use the AI Recipe Architect. Describe what you're looking for - your mood, flavor preferences, available ingredients, or occasion - and collaborate through the chat to refine your recipe.

How does recipe scanning work?

Tap the camera icon in the Create tab to scan a printed recipe, menu, or handwritten notes. Our AI will extract and format the recipe for your collection.

Why isn't my image being recognized?

For best results:

  • Ensure good lighting
  • Keep the image in focus
  • Photograph one recipe at a time
  • Avoid glare on glossy pages

How do I save a recipe?

Tap the bookmark icon on any recipe card to save it. Saved recipes appear in your Recipe Book under "Saved".

My Bar & Inventory

How do I add items to My Bar?

Go to "My Bar" and tap the "+" button. You can manually enter items, scan barcodes, or use AI to identify bottles from photos.

What's the difference between My Bar, Pantry, and Cellar?

  • My Bar: Spirits, liqueurs, bitters, and bar ingredients
  • Pantry: Kitchen ingredients, spices, and cooking staples
  • Cellar Vault: Wine collection with vintage tracking

How does barcode scanning work?

Tap the barcode icon when adding an item. Point your camera at the barcode - we use Open Food Facts database to automatically fill in product details.

Collections & Sharing

How do I create a collection?

Go to Recipe Book → Collections tab → "New Collection". Add a name, description, and cover image, then add recipes from your saved or created recipes.

Can I share my collections?

Yes! Tap the share icon on any collection to share it with friends or the Splash community.

How do I follow other creators?

Tap on any creator's profile and tap "Follow". Their public recipes will appear in your feed.

Technical Issues

The app is running slowly

  1. Force close the app and reopen
  2. Check for app updates in the App Store
  3. Restart your device
  4. Ensure you have a stable internet connection

My recipes aren't syncing

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Pull down on the recipe list to force refresh
  3. Sign out (Profile → Settings → Sign Out) and sign back in

The app crashed

We automatically receive crash reports. Please update to the latest version from the App Store. If crashes continue, email us at support@splashpro.io with details about what you were doing when it crashed.

I'm having camera/photo issues

Ensure Splash has camera and photo library permissions: iPhone Settings → Splash → Enable Camera and Photos

Privacy & Data

What data does Splash collect?

We collect information you provide (recipes, inventory, profile) and usage analytics to improve the app. We never sell your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I download my data?

Go to Profile → Settings → Privacy & Data → Download My Data. We'll prepare an export of your recipes, collections, and profile data.

Is my data secure?

Yes. We use industry-standard encryption, secure authentication through Supabase, and your data is stored on encrypted servers.
